US farmers managed a better week of sowings with spring wheat overall, but remained well behind the typical pace, as farmers in top growing state North Dakota, as well as Minnesota, still managed only modest progress, US Department of Agriculture statistics show.
Investors had expected a 43% completion figure, according to a Reuters poll.
