US farmers managed another week of strong progress, catching up a little further on the typical planting pace, after a cold-and-rain slowed start to the sowing season, US Department of Agriculture show.
Illinois, the second-largest producing state, where plantings two weeks ago were 49 points behind the typical pace, is now in line with the average, with top grower Iowa nearly there.
However, growers in Minnesota and North Dakota are still struggling with poor conditions.
